Katwe Central Primary School
DonateCentral Primary School, located in Katwe II Central Zone, Kampala District, Uganda, has been serving the community for nineteen years. Established as the sole educational institution in the area, it has significantly influenced the community, not just in academic education but also in fostering discipline and community engagement. The school was founded by three graduates: Dr. Gelvas Rwecungurwa, Mr. Robert Masaba, and Mr. Moses Lubega, all former staff members of Nalya Primary School. Their vision was to establish a school that provided education while instilling discipline in its students. Under the leadership of Mr. Masaba Robert as the headteacher, Central Primary School has become a pivotal force in reducing indiscipline in the predominantly slum area of Katwe II Central Zone. Additionally, the school has played a vital role in creating job opportunities within the community and has served as a venue for various seminars and activities. Central Primary School offers education from nursery to primary seven levels, focusing on both academics and co-curricular activities such as sports, arts, crafts, and technology. The school emphasizes holistic development, providing nutritious meals to students and engaging them in activities that promote physical and mental well-being. The school's staff comprises a dedicated team of teachers, administrative staff, a cook, and a janitor. Furthermore, part-time teachers from various teacher training institutes around Kampala contribute to the educational environment. Through its commitment to education, discipline, and community engagement, Central Primary School continues to make a significant impact on the lives of its students and the broader community in Katwe II Central Zone.
